This what I think may be happening.
You mentioned the right turn signal, is the left side fine??
It seems like you have a short on the wiring, light socket or in one of the bulbs on the right side of your car i've seen dual filament lightbulbs with a nasty habit of burning out in such a way that the filament partially detaches and falls into the second filament causing a dominoe effect that allows power to transfer from the signal lights circuit to the parking lights, the parking lights are on the same circuit with the dashboard lights. check the outside how many lights are blinking on the right versus on the left, also check what happens if you turn your 4 way flashers.Any bulbs that look brighter or dimmer than supposed replace them. Also year model of your vette may help.

I'm no electrician, but when I've had similar problems on other cars it was caused by a bad ground in the light unit itself

Any shorted lamps on the right side would cause very rapid flashing, so I doubt very much that is your problem. The flasher works on current, low current, slow or no flashing, high current, rapid flashing. Turn on your right turn signal and go look at the lights flashing on the right side of the car, I am sure you will find one of your rear lights not lit. A dim green turn signal dash lamp is caused by a poor ground for these lamps.
Interior lights coming on with the brake applied is caused by a shared ground of the interior light with a brake light and that ground is not making a low resistance connection to ground. Grounds are made through a screw into the frame and rust with age makes for a poor connection at this ground. The solution is to remove the screw and use a new bright screw, get rid of the corrosion around the frame hole, brighten up the wire lugs and replace the screw.
