AFR Heads Pricing.?

AFR Heads Pricing.?
I called AFR today to see what a set of heads would cost for my 95. I asked for a price on just the heads with valves. The sales guy told me it would cost more than ordering them assembled with the springs and hardware. 
I don't get it. I already have like-new springs that are probably better then the AFR's that I'd like to reuse. Maybe I misunderstood him. I don't want to pay 1,900 for the heads and I'm trying to save a few $$'s. Maybe I'm confusing something here.??
Advance Induction has a group purchase going on right now on heads and I'm seriously thinking about buying in. For my application the heads are just as good as the AFR's and will be much cheaper. I still want to see what all my options are first which is why I called.
