Default 1987 Digital dash problem

The speedometer and the RPM gauge works but nothing else ie. Temp, etc... Is this common in 1987 models? It looks like the area is lit up but nothing more. Any thoughts on what I can do to cure this ?

It is not common. I believe you have some circuit board problems which is more likely than the oil pressure, voltage tap, temperature senders and fuel sender all being bad at the same time. I would recommend that you have your cluster overhauled. If you understand electronics, you could give it a shot from www.batee.com which has a schematic for an 89 dash and is very close to your dash. If you have no experience working on circuit boards, let a professional do the work.

I bought a new one. I'll try it out when it comes in and see how it works out.
