2 Month Lapse
I learned I have a battery drain somewhere because my one year old 7/750 battery was dead as a door nail. Lord only knows where that is in a 25 year old car. I either will crank it more often or keep a battery keeper on it. It took over 12 hours to charge back up.
Also got reminded about the tires getting flat spots. The Sumitomos are definately rough riding if they aint round. The rounder they are, the less rattling and shaking of my Vette makes for a nicer ride.
Gotta find a top I can afford so my cruizer wont sit around so long, I definately miss the thrill of sliding down the highway. Just have to match a top with my wallet. Soon I hope, I love my C4!!
Just some musing, take care all!
A dead battery in two months isn't necessarily a problem. There are normal parasitic losses that could account for that. Two weeks is another story, and then it's time to start pulling fuses and measuring current draw. Tracking down a short isn't really all that difficult, and if you really do have a battery drain it must be done....little shorts are annoying....big shorts burn cars down. Little ones can become big ones.
Your tires shouldn't flat spot in a couple of months. It may take a few miles of driving to work them back in, but all should be well.
Alabama, right? Hey...you can drive year round! Ooops...shouldn't have said that...don't want to annoy the Northern guys....lord knows they have work to do to get their cars pickled for the winter.
