I have a 1994 convertible. Needs new shocks (94k miles). Corvette Central has Edelbrock IAS for $529/set. Are these worth it? Any recommendations for the best replacement shocks?
DON'T USE THE EDELBROCKS. By far not worth the money. Been there, done that and still kick myself for that purchase back in the day. Love the new Sport Bilsteins from VBandP!
Also, check all your suspension grommets, bushings, etc. With that many miles, they may need replacing too. This would firm up you suspension and help chatter along with an alignment.
94 LT1 had about 95 K miles, put the Bilstiens on it. they didn't cost that much (oh, used the soft ones). Most of the bushings on the rear were in bad shape. Replaced them, and didn't really feel much difference. BUT, the old shocks were WORN out.
I'm happy, the car DOES ride some better and the cost ain't any higher than using some other shocks.
