Default corvetteHID issue

I have an 84 corvette. I saw the thread from corvetteHID and looked into their products. They offer a package of led interior lights for c4's. I ordered a set for my 84. I paid the $69.00 + shipping ($80.00) .It included bulbs for map lights. The instructions stated that the bulbs are for the map lights in the rearview mirror. My reasrview mirror doesn't have lights. I looked up the 84 options in the Black Book of Corvette's. Lighted rearview mirrors were'nt offered in 84. I emailed corvetteHID and asked if they would exchange the map bulbs for underhood lights. Something the 84 has. Their answer was NO! they would sell me the underhood bulbs for $26.00. Be carefull what you order, it appears they don't bother to match bulbs with lights on your corvette. I now have 2 map bulbs I can't use. Just a heads up.

Sorry to hear that. I have purchased a few things and even attempted a custom job by them. They were unsuccessful with the custom job and bought me new headlights to replace the ones that they were attempting to fab up for me.

Were you looking to replace just the 2 map lights for underhood lights? Or did you want to exchange all of the lights that you received? This may have been the issue, just guessing. Either way, sorry to hear you had problems with them.

If you installed the lights, how do you like them? Do they light up the interior, especially the cargo area nicely?

I asked to exchange the map bulbs for underhood bulbs. I thought that was reasonable. Sounded like a wise business decision. Keep your customers happy. Sell them a product they could use. But NO.
I like the interior lights. I have a red corvette so I ordered red leds. The cargo area is not much brighter than conventional bulbs, but that could have to do with the lens. The floor lights are great. Bright and light the floor well nicely. the door lights are nice too. a red glow throughout.
Other than the map bulb issue I'm happy with the others.

We sell kits that are pre-packaged, and we choose to sell the map lights to those who do not have map lights because some people DO have aftermarket map lights installed. It is easier/cheaper for us to package everything together, regardless if the customer has map lights or not. If they do not have map lights, the spare LEDs can be used in another vehicle or discarded if they like.

The underhood lights we do not regularly stock and custom order them for inquiring customers. We do not give away products for free unless it is a promotion or a giveaway, like we have done in the past. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
