Stopped by today to see how work on my C4 was going. My mechanic was installing 2 new Hi Flow catilitic converters. He said after running the car on the lift, the left side CAT was glowing Red hot. he cut it off. Appears to be clogged. So 2 new cats are going on. Hopefully its cured Will know in a few days as hes busy on other projects. I will keep ya posted. Ed

Actually i did buy a new battery for it. Only because i gave the other one to my son for his LT1 Caprice. I have recharged batterys that have sat 2 or 3 years They are fine!!! For example my 1996 Corsica [Daily Driver///Beater] Got a new Interstate in Nov 2006 The car sat never touched from May 2007-July 2009.. one jumpack start, a 20 mile drive..its still in everyday use today. As a matter of fact I put 30,000 miles on car last year. i guess i was lucky on that one as it wasnt that old. Now the one in my Fiero[79 actual miles on odometer] has been sitting 23 years LOL Im positive that one needs a military Funeral!!

Welcome back Ed! Glad to hear you're doing better. Now get out there and put some miles on that Vette!

Ed, Read your post from beginning to end. I tell ya, Corvette ownership has it's ups and downs. But mostly ups. Every time I get a chance to run thru the gears on a straightaway I get a grin from ear to ear. I have fixed everything that broke in the past by myself, with much help from my number one Corvette info guy, Corvettemike2004 and many others.
You are certainly in the right place to get your Vette running with the horses again.
Good luck and let the ponies loose.
