Got an email from...damn I forgot who, one of the big suppliers. new c-4 dash with electronic round dial gauges. I saw a 90 or 91 with autometer gauges for sale a while back...never seen that before. now they come up with this. Wonder if they got the idea from that. Looks cool for around $900.00. Wonder if it will sell.
it is nice idea if you need to replace the dash and want analog instead of digital. At least they finally are making some replacement parts for the C-4.
I agree with most as you lose a lot of functions....it would be cool in a race car though.
That's what it looks like to me, a nice option for a track car.
I think the round gauges look kind of generic and lack the style I'd want for my driver. But then, I might care more about asthetics than most.
I am having alot of trouble with my LCD dash and supposedly it was a rebuilt unit. I have been looking at these analog kits as well as thinking of doing one myself since there are quite a few posts on the conversions here on the forum. With the "plug and play" feature of these kits, all the hassle is taken out.
I personally would probly opt for the 8 guage white face version. There are also kits out the for colored LEDs that would make the white faces pop.
Corvette America has some good prices on parts but I havent dealt with them yet so I cant speak to customer service.
I say if you like the analog guages and you have to replace the LCD panel anyway, go for it. You are about 1/2 way there and my experience with rebuilt ones is not good.
