Default pricing question

I have an 87 convertible that I just had the engine completly redone, trans, paint etc... basically about as new as can be with out buying new. What would the round about value on this car be?

If the car is entirely stock, has very low mileage and you can get some vintage car certifications like NCRS Top Flight and/or Bloomington Gold, its maybe worth upper teens or very low $20's. If not, its probably somewhere in the $4000 - $8000 range depending upon condition, color, options and mileage.

What do you think its worth?

Why do you want to know? Are you looking to sell or trade? Are you looking for an off-the-cuff appraisal for insurance value? If you are looking to sell, why did you do all of the rework without knowing what the finished product might bring?

just curious. I am always on the look out for another car. as far as color its black with blue racing stripes. Originality not so much. Interior i would say is in decent condition. It's a nice vette but also thinking about moving up to a C-5 and want to try a coupe out in my next vette.

ouch!

I paid $6500 for mine which was basically rebuilt from the wheels up, EXCEPT for the exterior paint.

I had it painted and never will be able to recoup what I put in it.

But seriously.....I don't care, since I just drive the snot out of it anyway.

I figure it's about $4000- $6500 average.

BUT I don't know......Is it a rare C4 ?

Oh I forgot you did have blue stripes added? That does make it rare! Ask for top dollar!

I'm pretty sure it didn't have the racing stripes and was something previous owner did. Not sure there would be anything what so ever rare about it. If my mechanic ever finishes with it I'll let you know how it runs.
