I have a 89 Coupe, I check recently with a wheel refinisher in my area about reconditioning and they mantioned that the "inside" of these wheels would be repainted. I didn't realize they were painted. That is the biggest problem with my wheels where the brake dust has stained the inside surfaces of the wheels.
Has anyone cleaned and painted these wheels? What type of prep? What type of paint? I want to keep the stock look so I would choose the same silver/gray color.

Any help is appreciated.
Never noticed paint on the "insides" of mine... On either set...
I took a look today and I think I see the painted areas. On the inside of the cut out areas the color isn't aluminum like the face of the wheel, it has a different color and you can see clear coat on the surface as well. I'll post a photo when I have time to get a picture
