It's not near as hard as you might think.

Here is a link to step by step instructions with pictures.

Ditto! I've replaced 2 batteries and I've always had to wiggle them up and through the crossbrace opening leaving a lot of my skin with it. putting them in was easier as I had gravity's help. still, more skin. definitely gonna' try this procedure next time!

thanks rollamo!

It should tell you in your owners manual. Though with regards to the above link. I don't see the point in loosening the lower side rocker panel, as I never had to do that.

i've always just removed the side panel and slid the battery out that way.

Loosened the two bottom screws and took out the top screws on the side panel. Leaned the panel out and also took the two screws that hold the cruise unit and moved it out of the way. Loosened the screw holding the battery down, took off the terminals connections and the battery comes up and out on a angle. Under a hour to do when you add the beer breaks. Not very hard - though it depends on the duration of the beer breaks.

It's not that bad - the first time will take a while (and involve some cursing of various Corvette engineers), but you'll get used to it...

Much easier and quicker to just take the side panel completely off.

Yep. By the time you've done it twice, you'll have it out in under two minutes.
