Default build sheet codes.

I just got my window sticker and build sheet for christmas. I was wondering what is the performance axle ratio it was a $50 add on? this was in 1995.

option code G44 was 3.07 ratio for auto trans std for manual.

most manuals came with 3.45 axle option GM3

The performance axle ratio is listed as RPO G92, the 3.07 gears RPO G44. I don't know why GM listed both as 3.07 was the only axle option offered on the C4 automatics, and there was no option with a 6 speed.

RPO G92 = Dana 36 Series 3 carrier

RPO G44 = 3.07 Series 3 gear set

Because in most years there were two ratios.
