Default Car Care Recommendations

I am looking for product recommendations for the following car care products:

-Claybar
-Polish
-Wax

Am I missing anything? Also my Father's 2001 is starting to lose some of its color, very minor fading and tiny scratches, but I am wondering if a good polish will take care of that or can anyone also recommend a Color Restorer?

Thanks, much appreciated.

I've used mostly meguires so far.
The clay bar worked well
Ultimate compound, meh, not the best polish out there
NXT 2.0 wax, nice shine seems to last quite a while

I'd go to the car detailing section of the forum to get some really good advice from some pros. Good luck

I prefer Adams Polishes. This paint is 10 years old:

And don't forget to mention the Porter Cable 7424 polisher that you probably used to get that shine - very nice!

I like Adams too. Don't forget the detail spray for the clay bar!

If you're looking to do both yours and your father's cars a PC7424XP or some other dual action polisher is a very good idea. That shine on KM1959's car didn't come from just hand waxing.

I also use the Porter Cable DA and I only use Meguires products. I have good results (plenty of awards and compliments) and I can buy Meguires products almost anywhere. I'll wash the car, clay bar, then use 105,205 followed by two coats of #26. If it's a driver I use NXT (it lasts longer)
