I've been sitting at my computer looking at websites for various vacation destinations that would involve driving great roads. My wife and I try to start the spring with such a trip. We have been to the Tale of the Dragon twice. Where do you guys go to get away and enjoy driving some great roads? I need some inspiration as I look out the window and see snow and single digit temps.
scenic hwy 10 in oklahoma is nice (lots of awesome hidden roads around here that you only know about if you are from here... i know of one 2 lane painted hwy with fresh pavement about 5 miles long and on both ends of it narrow unpainted blacktop... it is strange, and often NO traffic) , and the pig trail in arkansas is not to far away (but often busy), devils den is between them. and north towards eureka springs are more great roads in this area.

I've been doing the same thing, trying to stave off cabin fever...
Being from Indiana I remember Brown County and around Bedford as being real nice. Tippecanoe and Turkey Run up north is nearer to you and also was a nice drive.
Yeh Skyline Drive. 105 miles at 35 mph! in what is normally called a National Park. It's nice but nothing like Angeles Crest Hwy in southern Cal, another old stompin' ground of mine as I lived in southern Cal from '58-'78. But this fellow is in Indiana a long ways from either.

That's my fave local road They just repaved it after the recent fires when it was closed for a few weeks
I need to do a better vid with a different cam. It's more fun at less sociable hours..
Try almost any road in rural northwestern Arkansas. Particularly Highway 7 just outside Harrison, going southwest. Quite a few "switchback" turns! It's quite a bit closer than Hawaii, and Arkansas is a really pretty state.

There are a ton of nice driving roads in Missouri and Arkansas. They were built for nice cars, pretty women and long necks!
