New shoes
Wheels...... 2004 thinspokes that previous owner said he never ran.....and the wheel condition actually backs up his statement.
Tires GY GSD3 275 40 R18
One assemble took 1/2 ounce to balance on the hunter machine.....the other only 1/4 ounce......

I couldn't believe it so I removed wheels from balancer (after placing the single wieght where the laser indicated.....new technology ROCKS) mounted them in the balancer again and this time 0000 and 0000
so the 1/4 and 1/2 was it.
The rears.....

I'm reusing the front tires and I'll probably have the time to unmount/remount the fronts by Thursday...
I've always liked the looks of the thinspokes and the 275 40 r18 is just enough taller than my current tires that I should bust 150 in D/3rd vice 146......and 18s were cheaper than my current 17s so with the low price of C5 take offs its a win win.
What are you guys doing for your C4s????

I like the look of the thin spokes.

Once again less than an ounce on one, however, the other took 1 1/4 ounces.
So I installed the fronts and went for a ride IOT see if there was going to be any shimmy, shake, vibration etc....
Good new everything was golden

So I lifted the rear using a method not shown in the FSM...

Installed one side then the other

While the car was on the jack I tightened the spring bolt two turns on each side IOT raise the rear a RCH since the 275 40 R18s are a little taller than the 285 40 r17.
Then I adjusted the speedometer for the new tire size

And went for another drive IOT check for shimmy, shake, vibration etc... and there was none
Problem is suspension hasn't settled yet...
