....standing outside your vette after you just got out waiting for you interior lights to turn off? Knowing very well they are going to, but you just want to make sure. I find myself doing this every now and then, it seems sometimes they stay on longer than usual.
:D :yesnod: Corvette paranoia, I've done it a few times. Also I'm sure that after I did some work on my car over this weekend, it seems like it's shrunk an inch ? I checked, and I did remember to put the wheels back on so that's not it.
Sometimes, but then again I'm psychotic when it comes to my car. Just curious if those egg heads programed MY car correctly so the thing will turn off. Sometimes the lights stay on for a bit and sometimes not who cares as long as they turn off ! Dead batteries suck big.... you know what !
Ever since I left the interior light on once, I started doing this. When I'd hear the doors lock (PKE) I'd say "goodnight" under my breath, and the horn would beep a "goodnight" back to me. I LOVE(D) MY CAR !!
I'm usually pretty confident that my lights will shut off, but my g/f or any other passengers are like "your interior lights are still on", so I stand around and wait for them to shut off. I guess I have passenger induced paranoia.
Other people are worse than me, they are like "wait! your interior light is still on!" I am like, "yeah, it stays on for a little bit." "Are you sure?" "YES!" and then by the time I finish arguing with them it goes off. :)
Been there, done that. Actually for a reason. Sometimes the car anticipates too much. For example if you forget something in your car, open the door, take the item out, close the door again. The car seems to think you´re in the car and kinda waits for you to start the engine, interior lights on. Usually after a while it seems to give up, but so far twice mine didn´t with the result that the next day the battery was empty and the radio lost all my favorite stations!
And just hope that it doesn´t happen to you in a tight garage. If you parked your car with the bonnet in first and you can´t get it out of PARK because there isn´t any electricity left to tell the computer that you´re stepping on the brake pedal, thus you can´t push the car out of the garage you´ll need a pretty long cable to start it!

Really sucks about your 'Vette :mad If the insurance co doesn't break it off in you, are you going to get another C4 w/ the $$ or try to add some to it and pickup an early C5?

How many people have said "Hey, your interior light is on" after you left the car?
I just reply, "Yeah, it automatically sets the alarm when it goes off".
I always have that problem with my moms 1987, which has like a 30 second delay. Somehow I always manage to turn on the drivers door light when I'm driving too. With the 1994 I just walk away and listen for the horn to beep.
