Does anyone still make the floor jack adapter that goes under the differential, between the exhaust?
OR
is there an adapter that fits where the factory lift points are at? Seems like it would not be that difficult to make one: small square tubing, with a slot across the top for the seam and then either it could just sit on the floor jack cradle or guess it could have about a 1" diameter round pin that would take the place of the floor jack cradle.
I don't think the "Jack a Vette" is made anymore, but you could make one just like you said. Or you could make several and sell them to those of us too lazy to make one.

Here is the Jack a Vette
Here it is under the LT4 vert I used to own. This picture is now being used in their ads (without my permission). Oh well, I like to share.
Sure miss this car.
I have placed a block of wood between my jack and exhaust system many times and raised the car. I have never seen the first sign of damage to the exhaust system.
As soon as I get it raised I do place jack stands in the proper place.
If you could take two pieces of 4 inch channel welded back to back. It should fit. Like this. ][ ( if you get my drift ).
I get your drift...just do not have a welder....have always wanted one....hmmmmm.....where is that Harbor Freight flyer at???? Wonder if it even works???
Corvette Gadget Man.....that was the site I could not remember.

Wow I'm glad that has worked for you, I never would have the guts to try it in the first place. I don't know that I'll try it but apparently it works with no fancy stuff needed.

The little Harbor Freight wire feed welders work fine. I picked one up last summer, had never welded before, and it has paid for itself just in repairs around the house, on the cars, etc. Comes in very handy. They also have an auto darkening welding helmet in the last ad for $39.
My first couple of welds worked fine but looked pretty bad. I'm starting to get the hang of it a little better now. Maybe a homemade Jack A Vette is my next job with it.

I have done this too, the first time was to change the exhaust system, so I put it under the old rusty pipes figuring that they were coming off anyway and it didn't even hurt them. When it came time to put it down, I put the jack under the new pipes and no damage.
