Yep, what year is the car? NO way that's a '90...It used to be red? Ugggg, I have told this story one too many times. First at the bank, making a deposit for My Parents, I had to explain to the teller after She mentioned"Pretty Color" :D(She wasn't too bad Herself) and the whole 9. I went to gas up shortly after, and an older Guy asked which color it was? I told Him it was a stock vette blue from 94-96...His response"I'd never seen it before" Guess He's been in a cave or somethin' I then had to get in to how it was Red, showed the book(I always keep it in the car, pics of the paint process) to Him and such...Lots of people get a kick out of it! Glad they do as well as I do. It does make me grin shocking the heck out of them, and it was a drastic thing I did to the car. After all, I'm an all or nothing Guy..so it suits me.
Kinda funny, nobody has ever asked me what color my car originally was, or if it was the factory color/paint. Any Corvette enthusiast knows that Polo Green was not available in 85. Oh well
I was in the same boat, 90 with update and painted newer color....had to explain the whole thing all the time. Mine was polo green/tan in its first life.
Heheh you too eh? I'm sure while they're not looking ...you're thinking to yourself rolling your eyes"Here goes this story again" j/k.

The story may be old to you, but not to the person asking. How many times do athletes, or celebrities get asked the same questions? You have a beautiful car, and with that comes attention. That's part of the reason for owning it, right? :D
I really don't mind repeating the story often, but during a weekend long car show I bet I tell it 30 times! The people on either side of me learn it word for word by Sunday night  :yesnod:
I can sort of relate to what you guys are talking about....more times than not people will approach me at a car show and tell me that my car is a repaint because GM never made a Corvette the color that mine is.
Sometimes I get pretty tired of having to explain over and over that it is the factory original paint, and why it is the color that it is. But then again, I know that I have educated someone that really did not even know that GM produced a 40th Anniv. car. Comes with the territory I guess.
