Need a little help if you don't mind. I just purchased a 1995 Vert and someone put a wood kit in it. They stuck it everywhere. Rather then try to get it off, is there anyone that sells the bezels that this stuff is glued to? I'm looking for the one around the radio, the vents above the instrument cluster, around the seat controls, etc.
I've looked in Ecklers and can't really tell if they have it or not. I would call but it's Saturday. (And Kentucky is playing basketball, little party). Thanks for any help. I'm gonna make this brand new. I've already got my complete bushing kit, all new weatherstripping, and I'll be ordering a top real soon. A little paint and interior and I'll be close.
I have an engine that was putting down 425 RWHP in an Impala that I hope to install also. I can build me a tranny but I'm sure a Dana 44 will be the next major blow up.
I think Corvette central has them. Also on e bay sometimes.
You can also take the plastic wood laminate off. Use a blow drier and get the piece warm. I use a thin blade on a feeler gauge and work it around the edges.
Use this product to remove all the gum and glue. They will look fine. Also, once they are clean you can paint a custom color on them.

Thanks guys, that's what I was looking for. I may try to strip the nasty wood first. I like the feeler gauge idea. Maybe squirt a little lighter fluid on top of the pieces and let it run down behind them and soften the tape before the feeler gauge trick. I'll be careful with the lighter fluid and the heat gun as I have no desire to try out my shiny new polished stainless fire extinguisher. Have a great day, men.
PS The Mexican writing on the pic above reminded me of the time I changed the fuel pump in my truck. The Mexican phrase for fuel pump is, I believe, "BOMBA de GASOLINA". Is it just me or does that not sound like something you would want to put in your tank. A gasoline bomb???? Glad I speak Merican.
