Default Convertible Back window..Need help.

Hi All. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Was 60 here yesterday but rained all day. Had to keep the cover on..
Regardless, I have a question. I have a 95 convertible and it seems there is a space between the top of the back window and the "pouch" that it once seemed to have gone in. Tough to explain, sorry. The strange thing is that it doesnt look like the window is secured to the top by any addhessive.
Has anyone seen what I am trying to desribe? Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
ac

I think what you are saying is that the window separated from the cloth and created a pouch? I would recommend you call some interior specialists in your area and see if they can recommend a fix. If you like to DIY, my first inclination would be to try a hot glue gun to re-attach it. Make sure you have something that can put pressure on it while it cools for a good seal. It is hot so fingers don't work!

I just had the same thing happen, exactly. On the top I noticed a very smooth spot where the old adhesive? was. I scraped the glass with a single edge blade, and got some of the 3/4" wide Velvro strips that Advance Auto sells. 5 feet for about 6 bucks. It has very good adhesive on both sides. I put a strip of Velcro on the glass and the mating piece that it sticks to on the ssmooth surface on the top material. Pressed the velcro together and voila, no leaks, drips or errors. No wind noise and it's been a month now and still holding perfectly.

I released the front and back of the top to give me some "wiggle room" to get it in straight and tight. Will get a new top come the spring. Good luck.

I have a 95 vert. This seems to be a common problem. The previous owner had put ge silicone all around the window very carefully and it has been approx 4 years and no problems
