...I might as well do some painting. I'm trying to decide on a color to paint my valve covers/air cleaner and such. I wanted to go darker than the factory gray, but not black, so I picked up a rattle can of metallic graphite rim paint from rustoleum. I started with the timing cover,here's some pics, tell me what you think.
Thats exactly the color I painted my valve covers, and I sanded the fins so they are bare aluminum. I baked them in the oven a little bit for durability. If the Wifey does not like the thought of that....the propane bar-b-q does a good job, also.

You know, that paint you're using is a close color match to a certain cat we know. If he were to lose a patch of fur, for example, you could just touch him up and the repair wouldn't even show. Kinda like that spray paint hair for bald guys they advertise on the infomercials.
