I'm looking for a thread with instructions and pictures for stereo removal for a '94. I looked in the audio section, and the thread there is disabled. Anybody have any tips? Thanks.
Lift console door. Two bolts are located in the front postion of the console. They are under the carpet tabs. Next remove the bolt from the cup holder area. Now silde the console shift plate backards. If you have an auto be careful of the shift lens indicator it just fits on a little tab. If manual simply pull the shift plate backwards no shift indicator tab to worry about.
Two bolts are now exposed on the bottom of the radio surround bezel remove those but have a magnet on hand to capture those little buggers. Remove the A/C vent at the top of the radio surround bezel its held in with phillip screws, grab and pull it out. Now behind where the AC vent is is the last bolt for the radio surround remove it. Grab the radio surround bezel in the middle of the bezel. Two spring clips are whats holding it into place.
Pull it out of the way and the radio removal is obvious from this point forward. GC
