I have Altecs an mine. Some think they're cheesy, but I like the look and it keeps the qtr panels clean.

I have the small clear plastic ones on mine. You can hardly notice them as they don't take away from the body lines. They work very well. I think they are sold under the name of "Paint Protectors". Sorry but they won't show up on a picture.

IMO they kill the lines on the car even if they are painted. If you want to keep it nice for the next guy, they by all means put them on .He will appreciate it. I know I would.

I have those same black ones on my white 90. I just installed the Magnaflow with black LT1 tips, this weekend.

It now makes that black piece of molding, going down the side, look like an accessory rather than a bad haircut.

I started to take pictures this weekend but the car was a little dirty from my roadtest and it wouldn't have given the look justice. But it is all coming together very well!

My '91 had splash guards on the front and back when purchased about 15 yrs ago. I never considered taking them off, as they protect the paint and made cleaning must easier. As you can see they are not molded type. However, I certainly would agree that molded guards look much better and now maybe I have another Spring project. Think I should switch them out???
