factory headers?
Theres a guy here in my area selling factory tube headers (shorty) from a 85 vette. Did they make factory headers? if so would these give me better power and/or sound on my 89? is it even worth swapping out the stock cast exhaust manifolds?

The exhaust manifolds in the ebay listing is what your car should have on it. If you have something that is cast iron, somebody has changed them.
The stock manifolds do have metal heat shields around them.
