Default Custom air intake

I bought an air intake for my 86 vette. The intake is the kind that looks like a T. When I bought it I knew it was for a c5 corvette but i was going to "custom fit it" anyways. After getting it was huge in comparison to the stock one. So I removed the upper bafle infront of the radiator so the intake could sit down a little further. It is infront of the radiator a little bit on top, and im wondering if it will be ok there? Also is it alright that I removed the top bafle? I would think it would run just fine but i want some input. Thanks

The one you bought is made for a slanted radiator after 90' and up. You might be able to get it to hang down in there though.

Can you post any pics of the intake and what you have done so far?
