Default Harness bar setup has arrived

I have never really trusted the locking system in the stock vette belts, and I really wanted the extra fixating with a racing harness. I spend to use to much effort on keeping me self seated when spending time on a road racing track.

I ordered the Brey Krause harness bar, with outer and inner lap mounts.
I also ordered 2 Crow harness, with cam locks. 3" wide both, lap and shoulder.

The harness bar looks really good. I like the design with the support struts, and the "web" construction bar, as supposed the the regular singe tube ones. I think its gonna ad some stiffness too. The finish is a niche wrinkle flat black.
The way the system mounts, it keeps the stock belts functional, I like to still have that option.

It all came wrapped very well

I will keep you posted on the install, whenever spring is coming here

Congratulations. Nice setup. I am also wondering when Spring will come here! I am spending much more time playing with my snow blower than I care to.

Looks like we have the same Brey Krause setup Lars. Best damn fitting HB made for the C4 out there. Heres a preview of the install. Dont forget the Fire extinguisher bracket and the Camera mount. LMK if you have any install questions.

Nice! How are the stock seat belts mounted? They look like they are higher than stock?? Also do they block the cargo light?

Its just a bolt on install right? You can always put it back to stock? How much do these bad boys run? No prices on their website...

I bought the whole setup used hear from a member called the Dingo. He carrried it with him on a flight from The land down under to LA (He was coming any way) and shipped it from LA to Phoenix. I think the whole setup was less than $250 New with everything probablly about $800

Yes the shoulder mount points mount in the same holes behind the belt mount. The bolts are longer than the standard bolts which is how they get away with that. The seats have to come out to install the lap belt portions. The Seatbelt retraction mechanism most be removed to install the bracket which fits behind the unit. And the seat belt buckle lock point that mounts to the sides of the console also have to be removed so the other side of the lap system ties into it. Yes they do block the cargo light and there is zero modification needed to install this. I am also soon going to be installing a Submarine bar, with an extinguisher mount and camera mount I have just not installed them as im saving up for a high eztinguisher haltron. The finish is black crinkle powercoat which looks great. Impressive bar. As to price I bought everything san the camera mount and the fire extinguisher bracket here and it was less than $300. The HB Ive seen in the $399 Range to $599 range with all the pieces all over the place

Is the Crow harness a 5-point design? Didn't see anything in the pic that looked like a sub strap.

Also did you check with the groups that host the track days to see if you have to run the harness belts thru holes in the seats? Some organizations now require a race-style seat that has holes for the harness straps. Simply running them around the seat back may not be acceptable. PCA (Porsche Club of America) is that way and there are probably others.
