Default painter in NJ

gonna need my vette sprayed soon.............in a nutshell:

pulling everything my self, entire interior (carpet, seats) will be out to avoid overspray, body side strips will be pulled as will bumpers and rocker panels......may be getting a new hood

have a trailer available to get the vette where ever it needs to go.......

need a painter (in the near future) who perform a good spray at a reasonable cost (i'm not saying cheap, but the work had better match the dollar charged)

in NJ or even eastern PA would work

any suggestions let me know, i dont really have the facilities to spray it myself....or if anybody wants to make a few bucks in the near future

oh yeah, staying with the stock color....door jambs do not need to be done

I have a friend and his father that paint on the side and are now setting up a business. Good price and I've seen their work. A member of our club who is very particular had them do his C-1 and he's satisfied with their work. I can get their number if you want to talk to them.

One thing you need to keep in mind is on the early 91s the door trim is bolted on the entire length of the trim. The VIN on my car is #634 but my car is a ZR-1,I dont know how the VIN of the non ZR-1 correspond with the ZR-1s.Several years ago I wanted to repaint the trim on my car,I was told the trim had a 10MM stud at each end and 5 snaps in the middle.I destroyed one piece pulling on it trying to get it off.If the trim on your car does have the 7 threaded studs the door has to come completely apart. If your not sure about the studs you can find a gap in the top of the door with a flashlight you can look inside the door.

Len Stuart owns Stuarts body shop. He also owns and operates autobodystore.com I have never been to his shop but conversed, on and off, with him for about 6 years email and by phone. Obviously very qualified. Does many Corvettes. Good Guy.
