Last year I put my car away knowing that it wouldn't start in the spring. I had it to my mechanic and he couldn't figure out what the problem was. The fuel pump had no power, the engine would just crank over but if you would spray starter fluid the car would start and then the fuel pump would show power. Although it would start for the remainder of that day, but the next day it was the same situation.I'm sorry if I have the terminology wrong I'm not a mechanic.I want to get her on the road and I know this forum has a lot of educated corvette owners so if I can get ideas i can pass them off to my mechanic.
Didn't think of that, but it could very well be and it is a cheap thing to try.
I had a Honda at one time that did that. Had mechanics changing ignitions and other things. I finally got fed up and told them to change the relay. Problem fixed.
So what may be happening is the relay is not priming the pump but after it is started it starts based on existing fuel pressure. Is that what you are thinking?
Thanks for the information, can you tell me where the fuel pump relay is located? Can I just purchase one at Autozone or should I go to the dealer to get the part?
I just finished putting in the fuel pump relay and she started right up. Thank you all for your help.

Yep coupguy nailed that one. first thing is always, "do you hear the pump run" if not change the fuse or the relay once you determine it is getting power.
The relay is a pain to get to but i see you found it.
Thanks for coming back and telling us it's fixed. it will help someone else in the future.

Ok as I told you last night I put the relay in and it started right up, now I come home from work and I tried to start it and it will not start. Does that mean that I need to replace the fuel pump?
I finally got my car fixed. Yesterday I replaced my distributor cap, rotor, coil and the ignition module, and started right up. but I wanted to wait until today to try to start it and sure enough it started.
