Basically we are both right. IF you like a certain color, its worth more to YOU!

I understand all about engine, suspension and package options as the ZR-1 is fully loaded and with high HP.

It can help a Corvette keep its value if the color is in demand and there are not alot available for sale. Now if there are 1,500 Corvettes just like yours, your buyer segment might be bigger but you have more competition and are selling from a weak vantage point since buyers have a ton of options and cars to choose from. (some distressed sellers etc)

It's not just worth more to me, its worth more in the market place because buyers seek it out and supply/demand comes into play.

Ever go to a Corvette show and and some guy tells you how his car is 1 of 100 with manual AC controls

I am in agreement with you on volume of colors at the dealer, more common colors having a larger audience and less shelf life on the lots.
