It has a feeling unlike that of any other vehicle I have owned except my 68 Chevy SS I had in the early 70's.
My 88' is the second Vette for me, and I never tire of looking, washing, and thinking of it. I love the feeling of sliding into the cockpit, buckling up, hearing the drone of the engine, and the "feel in the wheel" as I breeze down the road cutting a slice of air with it's sharp smooth profile.

My vette was a reward of sorts for my wife and i for raising 3 children and doing the "responsible" thing for so many years. I'm only 44 years old and the kids are now living on there own, so after working 2 jobs for more than 20 years we decided it was time to do a little something for ourselves.

A reward for myself as well.
I have always had some pretty nice cars but a vette was not conducive to my lifestyle. Now it is!
I have always wanted a C-4 Vette. I even had a "Corvette Savings Fund" in my 20's but life happens. You know....marriage, kids and so forth. So the Corvette Fund quickly turned into the "Buying a House Fund" so a Corvette was not in my future. Some years pass and we divorced and the kids are older. Shortly after my divorce I was sitting around all depressed, feeling sorry for myself and one morning at work I thought to myself, "Hey....I have the cash now, lets buy a Vette!" So I started the search and finally settled on a Torch Red 94 with 60K on the clock. I bought the car four years ago. Sooooo.....My Vette represents a new chapter, a new beginning in my life and since I bought it, I have been a very happy man.
Ok, not really, but it makes me feel like I'm a kid again with my matchbox cars. Always wanted a Vette, owned a Chevelle, TransAm etc. in my late teens, early 20s'. Then, like other posters have said. Life happens. Married, kids. We did the dirt bike/quad thing, we did the boat thing (still have it), but now that I'm 48, it's all too much work. Kids are grown and out.
Now I have 2 toys that we can build, modify, drive, show and cruise and me and the wife LOVE IT!
and I don't have to do any work, load gas, the trailer, food, camping, trailer it..........
Perfect for an old man!
