The weather here in So. Cal has been great the last few days. I've put multiple coats of Zaino on the car the last couple of months and with nothing on the immediate to-do list at home went out for a cruise along the coast. I'm in Palos Verdes with the sun, ocean and million dollar homes around me when I pull over to take a breath and snap a picture of the car with the coast line behind it. Now, I'm in a clearly posted no parking zone, but it's a beautiful spot...I take a few steps back and hear someone yell "What year is that" I turn and there is a beautiful woman in bikini standing on her deck checkin' out the car. I yell back, "It's a '96 and I could use a model " just then a cop drives by and calls out on his PA, "Move your car". Now what to do... woman in bikini talking to me about cars and cop telling me to move...I keep talking to the woman! Just as I realize how tight my wedding ring is on my finger the cop swings a "u" pulls up behind me gets out and does the license and registration bit. I tell him It's a beautiful day and I just stopped for a moment when he tells me the "The sign doesnt say no parking except on beautiful days and you should have hopped in your car when I gave you the chance". Right away you know this guy's got an attitude so I'm mister polite as he takes my info. He's walking around the car and I know the window tint is way to dark and I'm wondering what else he could write me up for just as I see him grin and walk back towards me. The cop tells me he never see's a corvette with a front plate on it (I had just put it on from a ticket 2 weeks ago) he tells me he appreciates my complying with the law and hands me back my papers. The woman is gone, I'm still married, no ticket and It's a beautiful day in LA. :D
