Does anyone use any special products to remove brake dust from the inside of your wheels. I used soap, water and a brush, for fear of damaging the clear coat , not really doing it for me. Thanks

Thanks mike I will check out the WD-40 , as far as simple green goes some one on another thread said it can fatigue the metal so i'm a little cautious about using it on aluminum wheels w/clear coat anyone a long time user w/out any problems?
Another vote for the green slime. Smells good too! Just make sure you dilute it sufficiently....I seriously doubt it hurts metal in any way, particularly if diluted correctly. A gallon of it goes a loooooong way.

Mine are chrome.. Don't eat it Dang dogs an green stuff what's with you.
My plan for next weekend, thanks for the info. I'll pick up some this week.
Simple green also works really well on aluminum like the control arms. I use it with a baby bottle brush. It has a big brush on one end and a smaller on the other for tight spots.
My friend used simple green on ther RV made of alum. The end result was not SIMPLE. It removed the finish that left it dull. I would not use that stuff at all because you don't know if you are going to open a box of worms or not. for SIMPLE GREEN
no, not wd-40, simple green and I think the guy was in the millitary who posted it. I forget where I read it, it might have been ot.
NO no Simple green has phosphates in it that can eat aluminum......
After years of sitting. Bogus was saying that after using SG to clean his engine bay.....there is a pocket somewhere down below that the SG pooled in....

^^phosphate
Make sure your Antifreeze is phosphate free as well....but that is another thread
I have a little California Duster that I use in between washings to keep the wheels pretty clean. When I get serious about cleaning them, I use Eagle-1 A2Z Tire & Wheel Cleaner - it's fairly inexpensive and works well:
