spare tire
does anybody know where to get a new replacement spare tire. I have been looking with google and cannot find anything. I have checked with tire shops and they dont replace compact spares. I really want a working spare

That size is no longer produced by any manufacturer that I know of.
You might find a "good" one on ebay, but it's still going to be an old tire.
I think others have said a space saver tire from another car can be used, but I can't remember what other cars use a size that is close.

Find a spare from a late GTO; it will have the same bolt pattern and the wheel should clear the calipers. The diameter of the tire is what's important.
The whole idea of the spare is to just get you to where the regular tire can be repaired or replaced. The tire is not really made for speeds above 50MPH and the tread will not last much more than a couple hundred miles.
