Default Best exhaust system

Looking for reccomendations for a nice, not too loud exhaust system at a fair price. My stock 22k miles C4 and exhaust system are both like new, but I am looking for a nice low rumble like I got back in the fifties and sixties by putting duel glass packs on 283 and 327's. THANKS

Corsa. There is simply no comparison. The problem with C4's is exhaust resonance or drone. You can try all kinds of different combinations trying to get the sound you want without resonance or you can simply buy a Corsa system and be done with it, especially if you have an automatic. It costs more up front but in the end I think you'll be happy you went with the best.

Muffler eliminators give a great deep grunt if you keep the cats wont be overly loud....
And there quite cheap..
No cats and duels total cost 600$
Your muffler guy has to be willing to do a little fab work but with muffler elimanators running from duels.
Will have you holding on to your seat begging for more...
The L98 is not a motor in need of BP so the more flow = more power.

The C4 Vette is not going to sound like the older V8's back in the day without sacrifices.

Spend the money now on the Corsa or spend More learning the hard way. I learned the hard way, I spent over $1500 trying 3 different exhaust setups before buying the Corsa Catback.

I installed a Magnaflow catback system with new Y=pipe w/o precats and a free flow cat. Parts and installation $1049. The system looks great and sounds even better.

I will say Corsa's as well........having owned both....I think the sound you seek / desire will be achieved with the BB's. They are much more throatier...as compared to the raspy sound of the Corsa's. Prior to any purchase, you really should hear both...in person....with no headers! I have the Corsa on my ZR-1 now, and the ZR-1 before this one, had the BB'S....Its a night and day different sound. Do a search here, as there are many exhaust thread's for you to listen to...but, I emplore you to listen to either or...in person...before shelling out all that money! You may find, that you do not like either one. Just food for thought.

Stay in tune...

Magnaflow with LT1 tips are less than 300 bucks. IMO you can't beat them for the money.

You can pick up a new rear Y, with the crossover, for less than 175. Total cat back is less than 500 bucks.

I also picked up a fairly new cat, from weburke, for 65 bucks. Or spend a thousand and pick up the Corsa.

Dynomax also makes a nice nuffler for a pretty reasonable price.

On my Magnaflows, I don't notice a drone with the rear y w/crossover tube! That's what the crossover tube was designed to eliminate and it does a fairly good job!

If your looking for the old big block sound ... THE best exhaust system is a set of long tube headers and the stock LT1 dual exhaust system. This will produce a low deep sound with no resonance.

A set of good long tube headers like stainless works are as expensive as the corsa exhaust system but the end result is deeper and non raspy.

Not knocking corsa because indeed other than stock they are (in my opinion) the only aftermarket system that you can buy that is guaranteed not to produce resonance in the cabin... but their sound is a little rasper that than the stock LT1 dual exhaust.

If your really looking for the glass pack sound ... then you have to go with muffler eliminators.

Flowmasters are good. I get low resonance and a nice low rumble.

I picked up an X pipe , going to replace the resonater with it the rest is stock on a 95 auto hopping for a better sound. If not I will put Magnaflow mufflers on too.

No drone, fit perfect right out of the box, look good and sound great.
