custom under hood lights
I have been needing to replace my under hood lenses for a while and wanted something different, had the hood off so decided to do make something myself. Bought small black fog lights from advance and made a bracket out of sheet metal. also pulled the wire holders and routed the wires through the inside the hood as well as attached an on/off switch the the side of each light. This is still unfinished but just wanted to share the project.

I've had my lights disconnected for years, I think the hood is up more then it is down and running. If I were to hook them back up I would have to do something like what you did, the stock setup does not give off much light.
