so whenever i go over a speed bump or what not my front shocks make a squishing/squeaking sound..... is this normal? or is it time for new shocks? if so what type do i need and how much is this gonna run me? i don't need top of the line 1000 dollar shocks mind you. :D
I replaced my shocks with the OEM Bilsteins, from Mid America. Think they were about $350. This was in my 87...HUGE difference. Rode and handled SOOOO much better. Do your bushings and shocks at the same time and you will be thrilled.
I just replaced my shocks about a month ago. Picked up the Bilsteins from Mid
America for $250.00. (all four).
Put them on myself, major achivement, and it was pretty easy.
Ride is much, much, much better, like a new car.
Alot of the roads here are pretty crapping. :seeya
if its a squeaky sound its prolly the sway bar and bushings. Replace them and the shocks since you prolly still have the stock ones.
yeah one of my friends who drove the car mentioned i should change the bushings cuz he said the cars not as responsive as it should be but i thought, "whatever this guy drives a miata hows he know what a vette should handle?" guess i shoulda listened to em  hmm shoot bilstein shocks eh? sounds expensive.... bushings not too expensive...... and i have to get new sway bars?? if so i might aswell order the z51 kit?
