The new Vette is gonna be the exact same as the C4, except with all the problems fixed.

screw in the top instead of it latched down, etc.
I'm surprised no aftermarket solution has presented itself for this.

I don't think it is possible as you would have to reengineer the frame of the top and the car. My Firebird has latches in the frame of the T-Tops that sends a pin out that goes into the car.

Even if the aftermarket fabbed something up, I probably wouldn't trust it as you would be screwed if it flew off going down the road. I don't take my top off, so it really isn't too big of a deal. But latches would be better.
