Power Steering Foaming

My 93 C4 I power steering was whining and the reservoir was low so I topped it off. After letting it run for about five minutes I waited for it to quite down I checked the reservoir and it was full of foam. My C4 only has 48,000 miles and has been in the garage for about a year. What do you think my trouble is and how do I fix it?

Don't sweat it. Just find the leak. What you have is air trapped in the system. Turn your steering wheel stop-stop a few times. That will work the air out eventually.

If foam does not go away look for a leak on sucktion side not always a P/S leak but but may be sucking air and causing foaming I wish I could spell it is called pump cavition
