Guys.....I have a C4 (1993) with a weird electrical problem.....just started yesterday........
When I unlock the doors with my remote and start the engine.....my interior lights stay on the whole time Im driving around......but when I shut down and re-lock the doors with the remote .....the interior lights go out ( after some time ).......... I tried to pull the 5amp fuse in the fuse panel.......but when I pull it.....I hear a " buzz " from the fuse panel.
No......its the factory 4 button remote......its been working fine.......just started having the problem yesterday........
Is there a relay somewhere that controls the interior lights ?
You mean 2 button remote don't you? Maybe check your door switches maybe their contacts are dirty. I'm sure there is a relay but I'm not sure were it's located. Check your dimmer switch too, maybe you have the interior lights switched on, probably not but just a thought.

OK....sorry.....I assumed it was factory remote......It came with the car when I purchased it last year.......4 buttons.........1 lock....1 unlock..1 rear window release.......1 option. Would a weak battery in the remote have someting to do with it ?
I plan on checking the door switches today.......but the lights do go out when the ignition is off. I was thinking some type of timing relay may be stuck ?
I have a buddy of mine ( who installs alarms ) coming over Tuesday to remove the old aftermarket alarm......and install a new alarm with remote start. He seems to think also that its the alarm module.....that maybe causing the problem.
I hope its that simple.............and its not something wrong with the wireing harness.....
