PKE Problem
I recently replaced a lost PKE fob. I programmed it and it worked fine for a week. When I went to the garage this morning I noticed the doors didn't open as I walked up to the car. The doors were unlocked. Apparently the system never armed yesterday when I walked away from the car. Now, I checked and the Passive Keyless Entry system is not on. I followed the directions to turn on the system but the PKE light in the DIC doesn't come on. I checked the PKE fuse and it is ok. The battery in the fob is new. I can't believe the PKE module just went bad all of a sudden. Any advice or suggestions?

I removed my keys from the PKE fob and went to try to turn on the system again but THIS TIME, I put the door key in and turned it to unlock the doors, even though I knew the doors were unlocked, something clicked and now the PKE light came on for 2 seconds when I turned the key on indicating the system was on when. Now the system works. I guess using the key to open and lock the doors arms and disarms the system. I'm still confused but it least it's working for the time being.
