I have an 84 with 16" rims and tire size is 16 x 8.5 stock. I was wondering about spacers.
I found a nice set of 17" rims and read here about people using spacers all the time.
Can someone give me some info on these? I have never used them and want to decide if I want to go this route.
Adapters are what you are looking for, NOT spacers
If you're going to put on later (88-up) C4 17" Wheels you won't have any issues at all. It adds the additional offset to the wheels and keeps the wheel studs a safe length
Dave is right, you want adapters. I found some 2007 vette wheels to mount on my 1986 and what I have found on this forum is that the front wheels should be fine and the rears need 3/4 inch adapters. Check your offsetting or whatever they call it. I am not a fan of the original sawblades, some are, but not me..good luck!
