passenger window problem

passenger window problem
On our 96, the passenger window will go up & down using the passenger button, but will only go down, not up, when using the button on the drivers door. I am assuming it is an electrical issue of some sort. Any ideas on how to fix?

Dan, I have the same problem with my 95. However sometimes it will work but mostly it doesn't. I guess at this point it really doesn't bother me because it is easy just to reach over and hit the passenger button. If it is an easy fix, I would probably fix it. Maybe someone knows any easy fix. get out the voltohm meter and test the switches
Try bypassing the switch to check. There are a number of ways to fix these, just need to find the problem. You know it is connectivity, just need to find the break. I had corrosion on my ford explorer switch, so it took all of five minutes and some sandpaper to fix.
