Default passenger window problem

On our 96, the passenger window will go up & down using the passenger button, but will only go down, not up, when using the button on the drivers door. I am assuming it is an electrical issue of some sort. Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks in advance,

Dan, I have the same problem with my 95. However sometimes it will work but mostly it doesn't. I guess at this point it really doesn't bother me because it is easy just to reach over and hit the passenger button. If it is an easy fix, I would probably fix it. Maybe someone knows any easy fix. Obviously someone smarter than us. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...ies/smile5.gif

I want to fix it, since I plan on having the car judged by NCRS this summer. They will deduct from the score if the window doesn't work correctly.

Default get out the voltohm meter and test the switches

Try bypassing the switch to check. There are a number of ways to fix these, just need to find the problem. You know it is connectivity, just need to find the break. I had corrosion on my ford explorer switch, so it took all of five minutes and some sandpaper to fix.
