Black Rose Metallic came out in 1992 and ran thru 1994. Dark Purple Metallic started in 1995 and was available by itself or it was the upper color for the '95 Indianapolis Pace Car Edition.
Black Rose is a much darker color and is more of a dark wine or maroon while Dark Purple is definitely a purple color.
