hello forum members. I know this question has been asked before but what is the biggest size tires i can put on my 89 without going past the wheelwell? and would a 18 tire in the front and 19 tire in the rear work on an 89? If anyone has pictures of their tire size on their vettes, i would love to see them. Thanks in advance.
I have thin spoke y2k wheels on mine, 17s in the front and 18s in the back. From what I have gathered they should fit your car with no problem. And thats the y2k wheels I'm not sure about 18s and 19s, almost seems too big on a c4...

As far as wheel diameter is concerned you could theoretically put 24s on it if you want... the wheel diameter doesn't matter as long as the overall diameter of the tire is the same. There are plenty of online calculators to do the math for you as to what profile sidewall you would need. As for width, I have seen 315 on all 4 corners on street cars a couple of times. I run 315s on all 4 of my track car but it has fender flares.
If the car had the right stance you could pull of a 18-19 combo but you are getting into some tricky areas with that. If the stance/ride height is wrong it will look like crap. I've seen it go both ways on C4s.
