Re: How secure? (TheBoredGuy)
They are pretty secure but the bottom line is that if a thief wants in to your car bad enough, they will just throw a brick in the window or tow it away.
The top is secured with 4 torx bolts. Chances are a spur of the moment thief didn’t bring the proper size wrench with him, so I would say its secure. Now if an innovated thief did his homework and was shopping for one, I would say it’s a goner if you didn’t have an alarm. I put an aftermarket alarm in mine with 3….yes 3 sirens. Two under the hood and one in the rear wheel well, all on different feeds. When that thing goes off it actually hurts your ears.

But those bolts are on the inside right? Where he'd have to be in the car to get to them? I'm just afraid of it being a vulnerable place to access the car from. Kind of like old T-tops that were just like an open door if you wanted in...

w/o being specific?
Are you asking if the top is easy to steal or if you can gain access via the top to steal the car? Lets just say that if the winows are down, the top easily accessable. Even more with the right tool. I don't think the top can be accessed from the outside at all if the windows are up or at least intact.
