Default cargo space

does anyone know where i can get the numbers for cargo space in an 87 convertible? i found 11 cubic feet for a latter c4 with the top up. i wasn't sure if that was the same on the 87 and also what it would be with the top down.

thanks!

Not sure what the numbers are, but the '90 and up have less space due to the repositioned speakers.

I know in my 87, all I have room for in the cargo area is my 2 dogs, a pom and a chihuahua, a couple of jackets and that is about all.

My dogs love going in the Vette, especiallly with the top off. My pom likes to sit behind my neck. I sure get a good many looks

Also, it is not easy to get things out of the cargo space when the hatch is let go. It is just to deep and hard to get at for me.

If I need to haul something, I take my truck to get it. If I need to go grocery shopping I use my taurus.

Per the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association Specifications Summary 1987 Corvette Convertible: Luggage compartment usable luggage capacity is 6.6 cu ft. The 1989 and later C4 verts have the exact same specs.

thanks! that's a little lower than some of the numbers that some others had been posted, so it actually sounds about right. some people were posting numbers (without a source) that just seemed too high and i couldn't find anything 'official'.

thanks for your help!
