I own a 1994 corvette , its been stored away for the winter .
No that i trying to get it going for the spring , I noticed that the hood cables are defective ( or hood latch on drivers side is sticking ) , such that i cannot open my hood . I cannot drive it as well as my battery charge is low .
I heard some folks say that there simple ways to get the hood open .
get a glimpse of what it looks like, and you will see you can hook it with something, and pull it out to the side. After you get it open, lube it up, and put some zip ties or something of the same idea on them, so in the future you can avoid this common problem. You would be screwed in an emergency other wise.
Probly mentions the Factory hood release tool in it. Its available from most Vette parts houses. Wasnt it designed by Gordon Killebrew to use at the factory?

Here is an additional thread that I did last year with lots of photos of a permanent fix, not just the little zip ties. Maybe this will help you once you get it opened to prevent this again. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...with-pics.html
