Hey guys i was wondering if any of you had the same problems as i have with starting my car. It will crank up, but after a while if i cut the car off and come back to crank it up later, nothing happens... No clicking or nothing, BUT my lights will be on and after a couple mins of sitting it might decide to start up....does it sound right to believe that my starter is going out, even though i replaced it in '08?
any advice would be usefull...

This may sound silly, but, if your car is a six speed, you may have a floor mat pushed forward and when you push the clutch pedal, it can't go all the way to the contact switch. Maybe sometimes it does and others, it gets caught up there. This has happened to me after my wife or son drive mine. They push the mat forward with their feet when getting out of the car. Anyway, something basic to rule out first. Good luck!!
My bet is on a bad rebuilt starter. The solenoid gets stuck in the out position and returns when cooled. Next time that happens, jack it up and whack the starter with a small ballpeen hammer.

I wish it was that simple as a floormat but my vette is an automatic. Ima try the old hammer approach, because it is a rebuilt starter and at times of ideling the car can get hot. I Appreciate all the help and advice...
