Default new windshield!

Finally got a new windshield and rubber moulding, what a big difference! The crazy thing was the installer found broken glass from the rear hatch around the dash when he took the windshield out

Well, now you know you've got new glass front and rear anyway....

What happened to your windshield?

I had 3 bullseyes on it then cracked from the top out of nowhere, go figure. It was the original windshield and moulding (which was in really bad shape) So yeah finally took care of it. The installer showed me the broken glass, it had defroster strips in it. So yeah maybe somebody was partying harder in it than I am at some point in time in the last 26 years lol.

Hate to mojo myself but so far so good in the Vette. I lived in FL for almost 30 years and never had a stone chip. Moved to AL and I had 6 in my last trucks windshield in 4 years, finally cracking badly with defrost one cold morning. Had my new truck 8 months before I got the first one. Rented a 300 series Mercedes for a week and got one on the second day

looks great! bet it seems as if you're looking through no glass at all with how clear it must be. perhaps someone smasked the rear hatch to break into the car at one point rather than it being involved in an accident...

No problems so far. It was $284 installed with the moulding, they really took their time to do it right. They primed the surface after they scraped the old moulding away. I tipped them $20 for doing such a fine job.

Why don't you just claim it on your insurance and pay the $100 deductable?

I talked to a guy a couple weeks ago (he had three windshields done on his cars), and he said Florida wasn't doing the free windshields anymore.

Don't know forsure, just something he said while talking to the guy.
