Default Replace outer door seals on a C4

I wanted to put new outer door seals on my 91 C4. (both sides)
I tried to take off door panel and couldn't. Where I got stuck was around the door lock area. I found all hidden screws but cant figure this one out. I am afraid of breaking the piece of trim that surrounds the door handle. Also, when I seen the back side of old outer seal, I seen like 3 rivets holding this on. How do I get them off? (grind/chisel?)...the how do I replace them?(with screws?) Any advise out there ??....Thanks

Heres some info on the window sweeps.

Plenty of info in "search" on the door panel.

You can find Factory Service Manual (FSM) bargains now on Ebay. I recently bought the complete, very gently-used, two-volume set for my '92 for $50 bones!

If you're gonna' wrench on your own car, those books will more than pay for themselves in no time!

Here is a little write-up with pics on door panel removal (for 90-96 C4's) I did over at the ZR-1 Registry site:

Once you get the door panel off, yes, there are rivets you have to drill out to get the window sweep off. You have to re-rivet the new one back in place or maybe find some low profile screws.

you also. have to get all of thoes stupid clips to snap back in. I did not take the glass out so the clips I could not get to I took them out I used silicone latex adheseve calk instead. when you are done shut the window it holds the sweep tight against the car till the adhesive drys works great if you don't want to take the glass out
